I read this article and was bothered by the quote about how easy it is to consume images. I wondered where the skill of visual literacy is in this? I discussed this briefly with my husband and he used the term "idea hoarders". I laughed, but it did hit me that part of our job as TL's is teaching students how to be wise consumers of ideas and not just become idea gluttons; in the case of Pinterest, mindlessly pinning all they see!
